Days without Megan :(

While I wish Megan would never leave and we could hit the town all day, she has to go to work. She leaves around 7:30 (I think, suddenly am having trouble remembering) and gets home around 6. She gets a 45 minute lunch break, can get to work anytime before 9 and can leave early according to when she gets there as long as she gets in 8 hours. There's actually a law here where she can't work more than 10 hours in one day, which is wonderful news considering she was afraid she would end up working 12 hours because that's what someone had told her in the US.

I've found a place nearby (where I got this), not as far away as Old Town that I'll be eating at frequently. They know I speak little English and I can ask them how to say stuff and practice what I'm learning there. I'll probably eat lunch here every day.

While she's at work things are a bit less fun. I'm spending all day programming (at least yesterday and today, Monday I spend half the way getting euros, etc.) and I'm going to learn a new language while I'm here as well. That should go well when I go to look for a programming job this fall. I talked to Karune (the community manager for Starcraft 2) and Blizzard, the comany making Starcraft 2, wants us to host a contest where they can give away beta keys and prizes. They have already also confirmed that we'll be getting beta keys which is huge. In my conversation with him he mentioned how he expects all the fansite's traffic to skyrocket over the next year and beyond. So given all of that, I can't help but feel as though God's hand has played a role in the timing of this European trip not just in the fact that we got it. I couldn't have picked a better time for my full time investment if I was given the opportunity. So please be praying that God guides me and Ricky in where we take the web site, that it may be successful, and for our work to pay off.

  1. you're not learning 1 new language - you're learning 2!

will definitely pray about those things.
